Introducing Miss Spider

A loving mother and patient teacher, Miss Spider puts her family first. She’s voiced by Kristin Davis, who’s best known for her role as Charlotte York on the adult mega-hit Sex and the City. Above all, Miss Spider is a model of kindness. Miss Spider’s beautiful eyes and long eyelashes provide a window to her gentle, nurturing soul. Miss Spider is yellow.

Meet Miss Spider’s Family

  • Beetle Betty – Miss Spider’s mother. After helping Miss Spider search for her birth spider, Betty adopted Miss Spider. Betty is generous, nurturing and loving. She loves mothering.
  • Bounce – Energetic blue bedbug with buggy yellow eyes. He was adopted, along with Shimmer and Dragon, by Miss Spider and Holley. This impulsive bug loves holly berries.
  • Dragon – Oldest child of Miss Spider and Holley. This tough, purple dragonfly braved the woods on his own before he was adopted. Early in David Kirk’s book series, he’s known as Dragonfly.
  • Gus – Miss Spider’s brother, Asparagus. He lives with Beetle Betty in the Hollow Tree and also was adopted by Betty. Gus is a red, green and blue beetle.
  • Holley – Miss Spider’s sweet and fun-loving husband. He is a talented musician and a dedicated father. Holley is a yellow spider.
  • Pansy and Snowdrop – Miss Spider and Holley’s lively twin girls. These yellow spiders look just like their mother and are identical except for their bows. Pansy wears a pink bow and Snowdrop’s is green.
  • Shimmer – A beautiful bright-pink jewel beetle adopted by Miss Spider and Holley. She’s an athlete and a nurturing big sister.
  • Spinner – Like Holley, Spinner is a yellow spider who wears glasses. He loves music and is known as the intellect among Miss Spider and Holley’s children.
  • Squirt – Miss Spider and Holley’s spunky son, who loves to “surf the web.” Squirt is a green spider.
  • Wiggle – Known as the artist of the family, Wiggle is Miss Spider and Holley’s creative – and sometimes timid – son. Wiggle is a blue spider.
